This is wrong. It can but not everything and it does not have same concept just like medium or heavy game. Ultralight is not intended for heavy game because it will not have strength to push/pull big fish out from heavy cover area. You can break your line and worst case break the rod if the setup is not properly balance or perhaps handle.
